Shortly after the girls arrived, we discovered they’d never eaten any Girl Scout cookies. I remember us both recoiling in mock horror and telling them we’d make sure they tried some when cookie season came around. Good news, friends. Cookie season is now upon us.
Brian went off today in search of cookies and came home with six boxes. While it may seem silly to some, giving our girls the chance to experience something as simple as figuring out which cookie they like best is important to us. It’s a delicious way to reinforce values such as being open to new experiences, exploring all options, and using their voice. Parenting is tough. We’ve got take advantage of cookie lessons when they come along.
