When I began setting goals for 2015, I decided I wanted to have one goal which would be purely fun to accomplish. From this desire, my goal of having 100 adventures in 2015 was born. An adventure can be something as small as stopping in at a bakery I’ve passed countless times before and frequently told myself (and usually Brian) I should try sometime. It could be taking a class, hiking with my family, or spending a day exploring downtown Asheville with my mom. It might be a colossal adventure such as adopting two children (which will hopefully be accomplished soon!) or something as simple as stopping at a roadside fruit stand and purchasing something deliciously unplanned. I set my goal before my dad died, but his death reminded me of the importance of snatching bits of joy and magnificence wherever you can find them and going in search of those moments as often as possible. So here’s to adventures! I have 13 under my belt and plan on enjoying many more.
